Micah, in three frames.
Micah is the daughter of Filipino immigrants who came to the UK as NHS nurses. That story, the visa, the family left behind, the long road to settlement, is the story of many of her clients, and it shapes how she practises.
Her immigration work covers work visas, family reunification, settlement and naturalisation, and appeals. On the family side she handles divorce, child arrangements and financial remedy. She has a particular affinity for the healthcare visa route: the applications her own parents once depended on.
Clients and reviews describe the same qualities again and again: meticulous, thorough, reliable. Micah builds application bundles that go beyond the minimum requirements, on the principle that the Home Office should never have to guess anything in her clients' favour.
Micah secured indefinite leave to remain for a family whose application was complicated by long absences abroad caused by caregiving responsibilities, won an appeal against a refused spouse visa, and fast-tracked a Healthcare Worker visa in a genuinely time-critical situation. Different cases, one common thread: documentation done properly wins.
Micah staffs Lawyery's Chancery Lane office from Monday to Thursday, where in-person meetings can be arranged in advance, and sees clients online wherever they are.
My parents made this journey. I make sure my clients' journeys are prepared properly, down to the last page.
